ELLSWORTH — TEMPO: The Eastern Maine Pops Orchestra will perform at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Moore Community Center, 133 State St. The repertoire is appropriate for all ages and includes the “1812 Overture,” “Shenandoah,” “Queen of the Night,” “Theme from Titanic,” “Pines of Rome,” “Africa,” “Berceuse” and “Finale”. WINTER HARBOR — Participate in the sixth annual Eeek of Ecology Festival from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Schoodic Institute Eliot Hall, 65 Acadia Drive. This is a free event — rain or shine — aimed at families with children 12 and younger. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Learn about the fabulous Eeek-ology of the forests, streams and shore, and haunt history stations and a creepy craft corner. This year, we offer children the opportunity to “trick or treat” around 20-plus science and history stations related to a diverse array of animals, plants and geologic features in Acadia. BUCKSPORT — The Bucksport United Methodist Church will host a breakfast buffet from 6:30 t0 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at 71 Franklin St. This all-you-care-to-eat meal features many delicious entrees, beverages and homemade baked goods. The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children and $25 for a family of four or more. Proceeds will benefit the Fuel Fud.

BUCKSPORT — The Bucksport High School JMG is holding a spaghetti dinner and silent auction from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at Bucksport Middle School, 100 Miles Lane, to support the family of Grayson Wentworth, a young boy in the community battling leukemia. Admission to dinner is free, with a suggested donation of $5 per person. All proceeds from the dinner and silent auction will go directly to Grayson’s family to help defray the cost of medical bills.
