Police are investigating what happened to a man who was found dead inside his car that went off the road in Howland, according to Fox 22 Bangor.

Edmund Badger, 71, of LaGrange, was discovered dead inside his car Thursday morning after passersby saw it on the side of Route 55, or LaGrange Road, against trees, the station reported.

It is not yet determined if Badger’s death was result of the crash or a medical emergency, the report said. He was the only person in the car.

Howland Police, Penobscot Sheriff’s Deputies, and State Police assisted with the call.
