A Masardis man suffered serious injuries Sunday evening when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into trees.
Devin Stoltz, 39, was operating a Honda motorcycle around 7:30 p.m. on Garfield Road in Masardis when he lost control navigating a corner, according to the Maine State Police.
The motorcycle went into a ditch, struck an embankment and went airborne into a group of trees before coming to a rest back in the road.
Police said an ambulance took Stoltz, who wasn’t wearing a helmet, to The Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle. A Lifeflight helicopter later flew him to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor because of the severity of his injuries.
