The York County Sheriff’s Office is warning about fake $100 bills that have shown up in at least three towns recently.

Deputies say the bills, which are clearly marked “motion picture use only”, are a heavier weight and feel like real money. They say the bills have shown up in the Parsonsfield, Limerick and Cornish area. Deputies also say the bills are readily available online.

The sheriff’s office is warning shop owners and clerks to be on the lookout for the bogus Benjamins.
