Multiple law enforcement agencies are investigating a robbery at Camden National Bank on Route 1 in Waldoboro.

Waldoboro Police Chief Bill Labombarde said an undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the bank at 1768 Atlantic Highway around 2:30 p.m., Monday, July 17.

Labombarde said the department would release more information about the incident later. He declined to say whether the department has a suspect.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigative Division and the Maine State Police were also on scene, including a K-9 unit from the Maine State Police.

Both entrances to the bank were closed off with police tape.

The Waldoboro Police Department asks anyone with information about the incident to call 832-5369.

The same bank was the target of an attempted robbery in March 2012.
