TRENTON, Maine — Route 3 through Trenton has reopened after being shut down for much of the Thursday morning after a box truck crashed into a utility pole.

The crash, which happened around 6 a.m., left wires in the road, according to the Hancock County Emergency Management Agency. It took crews about four hours to repair the damage and reopen the road to traffic.

Emera reported about 1,000 outages in the area after the crash.
