Brewer man arrested for allegedly stealing vehicle, robbing store

BANGOR, Maine — A Brewer man was arrested Monday after allegedly stealing a vehicle and robbing a convenience store, according to Bangor police.

At around 6:50 p.m. Sunday, Cameron’s Market at 313 Ohio St. was robbed by a man who claimed he was armed. The man demanded money and a pack of cigarettes. The clerk complied with the demands and the man fled the area on foot.

Police located the suspect, Levi Cote, 27, of Brewer, on Monday and arrested him. He has been charged with robbery and theft.

Cote was also charged in connection with the theft of a vehicle that had occurred earlier in the day on Sunday. He was charged with unauthorized use of property in that case.

Cote was taken to the Penobscot County Jail Monday afternoon.
