FALMOUTH, Maine — A homeless man has been charged with murder in connection with the death of a man found in a Falmouth parking lot, police said Friday.

Kenneth Briggs, 27, whose last known address was in Portland, met with state police detectives in Biddeford Friday morning prior to being charged, Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland said.

Briggs is charged in connection with the death of Roger Nelsen, 67, who was found bleeding in a parking lot in Falmouth earlier this week, McCausland said.

Nelsen died of his injuries on Wednesday.

Briggs is being held at the Cumberland County Jail, and bail information was not available. He is likely to appear before a judge on Monday.
