HERMON, Maine — A Hampden man suffered critical injuries Monday in what sheriff’s deputies are deeming an accidental shooting.
Deputies had arrived at a Swan Road residence shortly after 5 p.m. when it was reported Andrew Husson, 33, was accidentally shot, Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy William Sheehan said.
Husson was accidentally shot by Joshua Ireland, 38, of Hermon, according to Sheehan. Husson was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center.
The incident remains under investigation, Sheehan said, and the public was never in any danger.
