ORLAND, Maine — Hancock County sheriff’s deputies are seeking the public’s help in locating a dog that ran off after a crash on Wednesday in Orland.

The dog, a Jack Russell terrier named Rebel, was a passenger in one of the vehicles in the head-on collision, although the sheriff’s office didn’t specify which vehicle in a post on its Facebook page.

The crash sent a woman to the hospital with serious injuries. The names of the victims had not been disclosed as of Thursday afternoon.

Rebel has not been seen since the accident, and if you see him in the area of Route 1 in Orland, call the sheriff’s office at 667-7575.
