HOULTON — The Houlton Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing endangered person from the Bridge Street area.
According to Houlton police Chief Joe McKenna, 34-year-old Cassandra Nicole Bell was reported missing at 3:30 a.m. Monday. She was last accounted for around 9 p.m. Sunday, the chief said.
Bell is 5 feet 6 inches tall and about 130 pounds and was described as having dark brown hair, brown eyes.
“At this time the only clothing information is she had black tennis shoes with pink outline,” McKenna said. “She was also believed to be carrying a large gray purse.”
A police dog was used to track the woman, but it lost her scent in the area of Houlton Regional Hospital. The U.S. Border Patrol was assisting with its helicopter, searching the river bed of the Meduxnekeag River and other wooded areas.
