CLINTON, Maine — Maine State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a robbery suspect, according to a statement released late Thursday.

The robbery occurred June 10 at the Clinton Variety and Redemption Center, where the suspect allegedly held a knife to an elderly employee’s throat, according to the statement.

The robber fled with an undisclosed amount of cash after demanding cash from the employee.

The robber stands between 5-foot-8 and 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was wearing a white mask and a black hooded sweatshirt.

The employee was not injured.

Anyone with information on the robbery should call state police in Augusta at 624-7076.
