TURNER, Maine — A man from Gray died Tuesday evening in a collision on Route 4 in Turner, according to the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office.
Leon Beaulieu, 73, was pronounced dead at the scene, a statement from the sheriff’s office read.
The crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. between Route 117 and Mancine Road, the statement said.
Beaulieu was traveling south when his Dodge Ram van crossed the centerline and into the path of a northbound pickup driven by Benjamin Ouellette, 35, of Greene.
Ouellette suffered serious injuries and was brought to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. The crash remains under investigation.
