RICHMOND, Maine — Firefighters from five communities battled a blaze in a single-family mobile home off Hatch Street on Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency responders who arrived at Lot 120 in a small mobile home park at the end of Hatch Street found flames through the roof of the structure, Richmond Police Chief Scott MacMaster said from the scene.
The two occupants, a woman and her son, were able to get out of the home, although the woman suffered a minor burn on her hand from dripping plastic, MacMaster said.
Richmond, Dresden, Bowdoin, Bowdoinham and Gardiner fire and rescue crews battled the blaze.
By 5 p.m., the fire was under control, according to MacMaster.
