The U.S. Coast Guard is urging mariners to take caution over the next couple days in part to an ocean storm expected to affect the Maine coast.

The National Weather Service is predicting wind gusts up to 60 knots and waves as high as 26 feet in some areas.

Coast Guard aircraft are warning all ships in the storm’s vicinity via radio.

The National Weather Service has posted a gale warning for the Gulf of Maine through Sunday evening.
