Police arrest suspect, victim in Biddeford robbery

BIDDEFORD, Maine — Two men are behind bars after Biddeford police caught a robbery suspect and the man who called in the robbery was found with marijuana.

Early Saturday morning, Austin Huntley, 18, of Biddeford called police to report that he was robbed by someone he knew. Police quickly tracked down the suspect, Antonio Becerril, 19, of Hopedale, Massachusetts.

Becerril faces a felony robbery charge along with resisting arrest. Becerril is being held in the York County Jail on $100,000 bail.

When police arrived at Huntley’s apartment after the initial robbery report, they noticed a strong odor of marijuana. Police obtained a search warrant and later found a handgun, AR-15 assault rifle, a shotgun and marijuana. Police believe Becerril was trying to steal the drugs.

Huntley is being held on $1,000 bail at the York County Jail on a charge of aggravated furnishing of drugs. The U.S. Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms will investigate the guns found in the apartment, police said.

A 17-year woman from Milford, Massachusetts, was with Becerril and faces unlawful possession of scheduled drugs and transporting drugs by a minor.
