BATH, Maine — Police are investigating a rash of recent smash-and-grab incidents in the city, according to a posting on Bath police’s Facebook page.

According to the post, suspects are allegedly smashing car windows and snatching purses that have been left in plain sight.

The incidents have occurred around the YMCA. Two occurred on Tuesday night.

The public is urged to lock their vehicles and keep valuables in the trunk, and report any suspicious activity to police. No arrests have been made.
