FORT KENT, Maine – Jeannette C. Voisine, 87, beloved wife of Leon Voisine Sr., died on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015 at a Fort Kent healthcare facility after a short and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on Feb. 2, 1928 in Wallagrass. She was the daughter of Antoine Corriveau and Irene Pinette, who from an early age taught her a strong work ethic that she attempted to impart on her eleven children that survive her, Leeta (Richard) Pelletier, Gary (Cecile), Bernet (Bert) Gagnon, Tony (Joan), Tommy (Diane), all of Fort Kent, Bonita and Philip, both of Naples, Fla., Leon Jr. (Sue) of Fort Kent, Allen of Caribou, Ruth (Jules) St. Peter of Cross Lake Township and Donna of Bangor. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and another coming January 2016; her brothers and sisters, Pauline (Albert, Jr.) Guimond of Fort Kent, Nelson (Blanche) of Wallagrass, Delsie (Charlene) of Fort Kent, Rena (Leonard, Jr.) Pelletier of Enfield, Jimmy (Norma) of Fort Kent and Eva (Robert) Michaud of Kensington, Conn.; several brothers- and sisters-in-law, Leone Daigle, Beth (Adolph, Jr.) Gagnon and Roland (Bedette), all of Fort Kent; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband on Nov. 13, 2002; her oldest sister, Jeanne (Orine) Pinette on June 30, 1967; and her granddaughter, Sherri Gagnon on April 27, 1998. The family wishes to thank the staff at Forest Hill Manor and the Hospice of Aroostook for the care and comfort given to our mother during her stay.
