The victims, a 22-year-old man and a 23-year-old man, both of Westbrook, suffered injuries that are not life threatening, according to Portland police Lt. James Sweatt.

The shooting was reported at 12:23 a.m., Sweatt said. Police discovered the 22-year-old man injured at the scene while the 23-year-old checked himself into Maine Medical Center, where police found him, Sweatt said. The 23-year-old told police he had stab wounds.

A suspect apparently fled the scene in a vehicle, which was found unoccupied on Oxford Street, Sweatt said. No charges have been filed.
