LEWISTON, Maine — An Oklahoma City man who allegedly pulled out a gun and started firing it outside the Acme Social Club on Park Street just before midnight was found and arrested, Lewiston police Sgt. David Chick said Saturday morning.
Dashane Seamster, 20, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was charged with felony reckless conduct with a firearm, two counts of criminal mischief and refusing to submit to arrest, Chick said.
The call came to police Friday night, just before midnight, and Seamster was located early Saturday morning, the sergeant said.
“They responded to several 911 calls of shots outside of the Acme Club,” Chick said. “No one was injured.”
When police arrived they found the person whom Seamster allegedly was aiming his gun at and eyewitnesses to the crime. The two criminal mischief charges stem from bullet holes left in vehicles parked in the area, Chick said.
“We don’t know if it was an aimed firing or some sort of threat,” the sergeant said. “The case is still under investigation.”
Seamster was taken to Androscoggin County Jail in Auburn and was listed as confined as of 10 a.m. Saturday.
