WARREN, Maine — A 26-year-old local woman is behind bars after being arrested Sunday for assaulting two other women, using a belt to strike one of the victims, according to police.

Katrina Park was brought to the Knox County Jail in Rockland on Sunday afternoon and initially charged with two counts of assault, according to court records.

Knox County Sheriff Donna Dennison said that because Park used a belt and because one of the women suffered a serious injury to her hand, the district attorney’s office recommended that Park also be charged with aggravated assault.

The victim with the hand injury went to the hospital for treatment, the sheriff said.

The sheriff said apparently Park did not get her way on something and lost her temper, leading to the assaults.

Bail was set at $2,000 cash. If Park does not make bail, she will make her initial appearance Wednesday afternoon in Knox County Unified Court.
