BERWICK, Maine — A Rochester, N.H. man suffered minor injuries after crashing his motorcycle Monday night.

According to Berwick Police Patrolman Mike Howie, the accident occurred just before 5:45 p.m.

Hubbard Road was closed for about 40 minutes.

The motorcyclist, 25-year-old Michael Neeper, was transported to Wentworth-Douglass Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

According to Howie, Neeper was driving the Honda CBR with a motorcycle learner’s permit and his inexperience likely caused the crash.

Weather and road conditions did not appear to play a factor.

Howie said Neeper was not wearing a helmet which is a violation of his learner’s permit, but he was not cited.
