BANGOR, Maine — The Holbrook all-stars sent nine batters to the plate in the top of the third inning when they scored three runs to take the lead for good and eliminated Old Town 8-6 in a District 3 Junior League all-star baseball game Tuesday at Mansfield Stadium.
Andrew Kiley sparked Holbrook (1-1) with two singles and two RBIs. Jon Archambault, Matt Cunningham and Jacob Munroe each chipped in with two singles while Cunningham added an RBI. Alec Gagnon contributed a double.
Nick Avery sparked Old Town (1-2) with two singles and two RBIs while Michael Brown added two singles and Hunter Brasslett doubled.

At Mansfield Stadium in Bangor, Benjamin Southwick and Ethan Newcomb each hit two-run doubles to help propel Sebasticook by Lincoln in the District 3 Junior League tourney.
Sebasticook (1-1) rallied for five runs in the fourth to take a 7-3 lead and held off Lincoln (1-2), which was eliminated.
Gabriel Gilley chipped in with two singles for Sebasticook and Southwick added an RBI groundout. Gilley also retired the side in order in the seventh to earn the save.
Brady Harding hit a two-run double and added a sacrifice fly to pace Lincoln. Alex Brown contributed three singles and an RBI groundout while Reece Carter added two singles and an RBI.

At South Berwick, winning pitcher Abigail Orso allowed only one hit to help York eliminate Bangor in the state all-star tourney for ages 11-12.
Orso helped herself out with an inside-the-park home run and two singles while Isabelle Babcock and Renee Bourque added two singles apiece. Daphne Stratton-Gignac and Carly Mitchell each chipped in with a single.
Maggie Coutts singled for Bangor.
York advances to take on Ellsworth Wednesday night.

At Blue Hill Monday night, the Acadians overcame 14 runners left on base and Will Ricker pitched a complete-game four-hitter to lead the Acadians by the Brewer Falcons.
Joe Archambault’s (1-1, 3 BB, 1 run, 1 RBI) single in the third inning scored Garrison Looke with what proved to be the game-winning run for the Acadians (8-5).
Gage Feeney (two RBI) and Seth Young (RBI) each had two hits to lead the Acadians while Garrison Looke, Conor Maguire, Dakota Chipman, Finn McMahon and Jake Keenan each contributed with hits.
For the Falcons (9-4), Carter DeRedin had an RBI single, Alex Brooks had a double, and Jack Corey and Alex Maximic each posted singles. Jacob Gauvin took loss going 3.2 innings\, giving up only two earned runs.
