Police seek man who attempted to rob woman at knifepoint at Holiday Inn

BANGOR, Maine — Police are searching for a man who attempted to rob a woman at knifepoint at the Holiday Inn on Odlin Road Wednesday morning.

Bangor police Sgt. Tim Cotton said the robbery occurred shortly after 8 a.m.

The sergeant said the woman was entering the hotel, was approached by the suspect and held briefly at knifepoint.

The robber demanded money and left the scene, and police did not disclose if he got away with any cash. The woman was not injured.

A canine track of the suspect was initiated but the man remains at large, according to Cotton.

The robber is described as being white and 6 feet tall, and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black sweatshirt, according to Cotton. Hotel staff declined comment at the scene.
