ORRINGTON, Maine — Two female occupants of a Mitsubishi sedan required hospitalization Friday night after a single-car crash.

Orrington Fire and Rescue Department Assistant Chief Scott Stewart said he did not have identifications for the injured and was not sure of their condition.

The cause of the accident, which occurred around 10 p.m. on River Road, is under investigation by the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.

Responding units included Orrington Fire and Rescue, Orrington Ambulance, Brewer Fire Department and Lifeflight Ambulance.

Occupants were trapped in the vehicle when emergency responders arrived.
