SCARBOROUGH, Maine — A lane change is to blame for a crash on the Turnpike Sunday afternoon.

The crash happened in the northbound lanes just before Exit 42. Around 3 p.m., Maine State Police say the driver of a pickup truck merged onto the middle lane but didn’t see there was a car already in that lane. The driver in the middle lane swerved to avoid the truck and trailer and went into the median.

No one is hurt and no one was charged. One lane was closed for about 30 minutes.
