WATERBORO, Maine — The 16-year-old seen beating another 16-year-old girl at Massabesic High School earlier this month is now summonsed for assault, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.

On March 9, the sheriff’s office says the teen assaulted another teen on the school grounds in the morning. Investigators say the victim suffered bumps and bruises. A school nurse checked her out and she did not require hospitalization, according to the sheriff.

The sheriff’s office reported late Monday night that the teen summonsed with assault will be in court in June 2015, but did not list a specific day.
