MORO PLANTATION, Maine — A New York man escaped injury Wednesday after losing control of his pickup truck on Route 11 in Aroostook County, according to state police.

Adam Mullings, 23, lost control on the slippery highway and struck a utility pole, according to a state police statement.

Mullings initially was trapped in the vehicle but was able to get out once Trooper Adam Bell arrived.
