The Coast Guard is searching for two missing fishermen off the coast of Rockland, reports Portland television station WGME, CBS 13.

The U.S. Coast Guard said the 45-foot fishing boat No Limits, which is based in Cushing, issued a distress signal before it sank late Saturday afternoon near Matinicus Island.

A rescue helicopter found one person in a life raft, but have not yet seen any sign of the other two. The rescued man was taken to Maine Medical Hospital in Portland.

“We safely recovered one crewman, and continue to search for the others,” said Chief Petty Officer Aaron Clendaniel, the command duty officer at Sector Northern New England.

“We have many units covering the area, with plans to add additional assets this evening,” he said.
