FARMINGTON — Thomas College scored three goals during a six-minute span of the second half on Wednesday to pull away for a 5-0 North Atlantic Conference men’s soccer victory over the University of Maine-Farmington.
Dakota Duplissie scored the only goal Thomas College of Waterville would need in the 57th minute, off an assist from Simon Hagelin. Tre Ming scored off a Duplissie assist three minutes later, then Ming set up William Nilson’s goal in the 63rd minute.
Max Hansson and Lukas Bohman added late goals for the Terriers, who received four saves from Winston Trott. Matt Wilson made nine saves for the Beavers.
Bates 2, Husson 1
At Lewiston, the Bobcats scored two goals in the first 14 minutes en route to a victory over the Eagles.
Delaney Nalen’s goal on a penalty corner with 21 minutes left in the first half provided the eventual margin of victory for Bates College (4-9). Shannon Beaton opened the scoring with a goal on a Samantha Reiss assist. Cristina Vega made one save.
Mikayla Toth tallied a second-half goal for Husson University of Bangor (6-8). Abby Greenleaf and Kaitlin Dolloff combined to make five saves.
