U.S. President Barack Obama waves as he arrives via Marine One helicopter at the White House in Washington October 14, 2014.

Democratic Rep. Mike Michaud will be getting a hand from President Barack Obama in his campaign to unseat Republican Gov. Paul LePage, the Associated Press reports.

The news agency said Obama will appear in several states with close gubernatorial campaigns and where Obama won both in 2008 and 2012.

A source told the AP that Obama will spend the last week of the campaign appearing with Democratic gubernatorial candidates in Maine, Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, but no date for the Maine appearance has been announced.
