ROCKLAND, Maine — Rockland police are investigating two burglaries that occurred at an apartment building over the weekend as residents slept.

A burglary at 62 Summer St. was reported shortly after 7:30 a.m. Sunday, according to Deputy Rockland Police Chief Wally Tower. The person allegedly entered through a window on the ground floor, and cash, medicine and electronics were reported stolen.

Tower said that the person then went into an adjoining apartment through a common door at 64 Summer St. and stole similar items.

The residents were asleep when the crimes occurred, the chief said, and the detective division is investigating the burglaries and thefts.
