ARGYLE TOWNSHIP, Maine — Two men escaped injury in a rollover crash Friday afternoon in Argyle Township, a Maine State Police trooper said.
The accident happened about 3:15 p.m., when Michael Libby, 62, reportedly fell asleep at the wheel of his 2005 Saab station wagon, Trooper Adam Coover said. When Libby’s car traveled into the median of the southbound lanes of Interstate 95, he overcorrected and then drove into a ditch on the other side of the highway, Coover said.
Both Libby and his passenger, Scott Davis, who is 31 and whose hometown wasn’t available, complained of pain at the accident scene. They were examined by emergency medical personnel from the Old Town Fire Department but did not require a trip to the hospital, Coover said.
No charges will be filed in connection with the accident, the trooper said.
