LEWISTON, Maine — Police are investigating the death of a Lewiston landlord.

Police say the 60-year-old man was the landlord of a building at 738 Lisbon Street. Police received a call just before 5 p.m. Wednesday for a disturbance at that address. They say the landlord was a part of an argument that included several people and that turned physical.

By the time police arrived, family members took the man to Central Maine Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Police are still investigating, but right now have not said whether the man’s death was a part of a crime.

“The victim had some heart trouble, so it’s possible he might have had a heart attack,” Lewiston police Lt. Michael McGonagle said.

Police are still gathering information and talking to witnesses to try and determine what happened.

An autopsy could be performed as soon as Thursday.
