CAMPOBELLO ISLAND, New Brunswick — Two performances were scheduled Wednesday night to kick off the second annual Campobello Island’s Fog Festival, five days of free music.
Brian Flynn and Blair Tinker and friends were scheduled to perform the first night of the festival, which features artists performing at different venues around the island, accessible via bridge from Lubec, Maine.
Headliners include music from Canada’s East Coast, including veteran Cape Breton singer-songwriter J.P. Cormier, East Coast Music Association winner and outlaw country singer Jason Haywood, New Brunswick artist Adam Washburn and folk duo Tomato/Tomato, and the Kendra Gale Band.
Concerts take place across the island in venues as diverse as rustic, turn-of-the-century cottages at Roosevelt Campobello International Park to heritage houses, restaurants, cafes and bars. All concerts on Sunday will be held at Herring Cove Provincial Park.
