BRUNSWICK, Maine — A Brunswick man is accused of driving drunk and causing a crash early Saturday.

Police say 25-year-old Stephen Achey was traveling south on Maine Street near the intersection with Pleasant Street when he tried to turn left and collided with another vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle, 42-year-old Angel Ripley of Wiscasset, and her passenger, 54-year-old Kevin Branningan of Topsham, were taken to Parkview Hospital with injuries that weren’t life-threatening, police said.

Police arrested Achey and charged him with operating under the influence.

Both vehicles had extensive front-end damage, police said.
