Maine military cadets are excelling across the country. The following is a short summary of the advancements and honors earned recently by Maine cadets:

— Kaylee Bellavance of Passadumkeag has been accepted into the Gary I. Gordon Division of the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps.

— Isaac Epp of Bradley has been accepted into the Gary I. Gordon Division of the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps.

— Kaleb Gorecki of Stetson has been promoted from E2 to E3 and earned Second Class Swimmer qualifications. Gorecki is a member of the Gary I. Gordon Division of the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps.

— Kai Hermansen of Old Town has been selected for the Nurse Summer Training Program (NSTP) at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. He will spend 3 weeks learning and working as a nurse. Harmansen is a member of the U.S. Army Cadet Command (ROTC) at the University of Maine.

— Duncan Hetzer of Otter Creek has been promoted from E1 to E2 and earned Second Class Swimmer qualifications. Dunkin is a member of the Gary I. Gordon Division of the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps.

— Jordan Hodges of Belfast has been promoted from E1 to E2(T). Hodges is a member of the Gary I. Gordon Division of the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps.

— Joseph Klam of Bangor has graduated with The Citadel’s class of 2014 as as member of the South Carolina Corps of Cadets.

— Devon Oppedisano of Penobscot has been promoted from SN to PO3 and earned Second Class Swimmer qualifications. Oppedisano is a member of the Gary I. Gordon Division of the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps.
