NEWMARKET, N.H. — A local man allegedly returned to a fight Saturday night with an unloaded gun and pointed it in the face of a combatant before pulling the trigger three to four times before the gun was wrestled away.

Benjamin Snow, 24, of 11 Lincoln Ave., No. 5, in Newmarket, N.H., was arrested and charged with criminal threatening and held on $50,000 cash bail. Snow is scheduled to face arraignment Monday, June 9 at the 10th Circuit-Brentwood Division Court, according to a report from Newmarket police.

Police responded to a call Saturday at 9:05 p.m to investigate a report of a fight with two or three people that had come to an end. Officers learned that Snow, who was one of the subjects fighting, returned with an unloaded revolver, placed it inches from an unnamed victim’s face and pulled the trigger three to four times.

The victim, whom police declined to identify at this time, wrestled the gun away from Snow and waited for police to arrive.

Police said they recovered the gun and numerous witness statements regarding the fight.
