DOVER-FOXCROFT, Maine — The former principal of the Orono Middle School, who was the subject of a 2011 Maine Department of Education report that revealed his actions while he was principal violated state testing rules, will be the next superintendent of Regional School Unit 68, according to the minutes from the June 3 school board meeting.

The board voted 7-1 Tuesday to hire Robert Lucy for a two-year term with an annual salary of $95,000. Board member Chris Maas cast the only dissenting vote.

RSU 68 serves the communities of Charleston, Dover-Foxcroft, Monson and Sebec.
