PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Two people were injured here Thursday afternoon in a head-on crash.

Presque Isle police Detective Bill Scull said the crash happened just after noon on the Houlton Road.

Brandon Anthony, 20, of Bridgewater was southbound on the roadway when his 2008 Ford Taurus collided head on with a 2012 Toyota Camry driven by Michele Kenney, 37, of Houlton.

Both drivers were taken to The Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle by Crown Ambulance. Scull did not know how serious their injuries were. Both vehicles were destroyed.

He said the investigation was continuing and he was not yet sure why the two vehicles collided.

Scull is being aided in that investigation by the Maine State Police. The Presque Isle Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
