YORK, Maine — York Town Planner Christine Grimando is leaving her position at Town Hall on April 1 to become a senior planner for the City of Portland, she said Monday.

Grimando said she would become one of the senior planners for the Department of Planning and Urban Development.

The position of town planner in York is being advertised to internal and external candidates, according to Grimando’s boss, Community Development Director Steve Burns.

Burns added that applications are due at the end of the first week in April, with the goal to have the position filled by the end of May.
