WATERBORO, Maine — A Biddeford man was arrested Wednesday after he was found to be driving a stolen vehicle, according to police.
York County Deputy Sheriff Shawn Sanborn was notified by Biddeford police that David Fitzgerald, 44, was believed to have been operating a stolen vehicle in Waterboro, according to Chief Deputy William King.
Reports also surfaced that Fitzgerald may be armed, but no weapon was found in the vehicle, King said.
Sanborn and Deputy Daniel Shaw proceeded to Lake Sherburne Road in Waterboro, found the vehicle and pulled Fitzgerald over, King said. He was subsequently arrested without incident.
Fitzgerald was charged with unauthorized use of property, operating after habitual offender revocation and violation of conditions of release, King said.
He is being held at York County Jail awaiting a Friday court appearance.
