ST. GEORGE, Maine — At the request of the Knox County District Attorney Geoffrey Rushlau, there will be an informational meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the St. George Town Office concerning the Aug. 11 fatal car crash in Port Clyde.

“This meeting is an opportunity to learn more about both the district attorney’s decision to not criminally charge the driver of the car, Cheryl Torgerson of New York, and how fatal crashes are evaluated in general for possible criminal prosecution,” a news release from the sheriff’s office stated.

Sheriff Donna Dennison, Chief Deputy Tim Carroll and lead investigator Sgt. John Palmer will also attend the meeting.

The crash claimed the life of 9-year-old Dylan Gold of Cohasset, Mass., and injured his 6-year-old brother Wyatt Gold, their mother Allison Gold and Jonathan Coggeshall of Port Clyde.
