Portland police searching for male suspect in connection with CVS Pharmacy robbery

Police are searching for this suspect who allegedly robbed a CVS Pharmacy in Portland on Sunday.

PORTLAND, Maine — Police are investigating a robbery at the CVS Pharmacy on Congress Street on Sunday night.

A lone male suspect entered the establishment shortly before 7 p.m. and handed a clerk a note demanding cash, Portland police Lt. James Sweatt said.

No weapon was displayed in the robbery, but the suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money, the lieutenant said.

The suspect is a black male between 30 to 35 years old, Sweatt said. He is 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 200 pounds, has a thin moustache and was wearing a dark baseball cap, black sunglasses, blue jeans, a red shirt and dark gray fleece, Sweatt said.

The suspect may have fled in the direction of Hobart Street. Anyone with information about the robbery should call Portland police at 874-8575.
