CARIBOU, Maine — The National Weather Service in Caribou has issued a freezing rain advisory for northern parts of the state for Tuesday morning.

The advisory runs through 10 a.m. in Aroostook, northeast Penobscot, northern Somerset and northern Piscataquis counties.

The weather service is calling for an accumulation of less than a tenth of an inch of freezing rain Monday night into late Tuesday morning.

Temperatures are expected to be in the low 30s.

The weather service expects travel difficulties to be minimal given the light accumulation.
