Hancock County emergency center closes

ELLSWORTH, Maine — The Hancock County emergency center set up at Ellsworth Middle School, 20 Forrest Ave., has closed. The shelter had opened to take in people who were displaced by lack of power.

The following warming centers remain open in Hancock County:

— Bar Harbor fire station, 37 Firefly Lane.

— Blue Hill town office, 18 Union St.

— Brooklin Fire Department, 25 Bay Road.

— Brooksville Fire Department, 2199 Coastal Road.

— YMCA Ellsworth, 238 State St., 667-3086.

— Orland Fire Department, 91 School House Road, opens at 11 a.m. and closing time to be determined.

— Beech Hill School, 105 Otis Road, 537-2211.

— Sullivan-Sorrento Recreation Center, U.S. Highway Route 1, opens at 11 a.m. and closing time to be determined.
