The winter holiday season can become a bit hectic. On top of all the festive events, it involves a good amount of shopping, cooking, cleaning, decorating, strategizing, weather-watching and list-making — at least for me, it does. It’s a wonderfully busy time.

Recently, that’s where I’ve been, wrapped up in holiday madness. Nevertheless, I still need my outdoor time — some fresh air and exercise. That’s when I’m happy to have so many great trail networks to explore in the Bangor area, close to home.

On Saturday, Derek, Oreo and I checked out a popular trail network in the area for a short walk in the snowy woods. See if you recognize the trails, and leave your best guesses in the comment section below. Winner gets a high five and a mention in the updated post. And as always, stay tuned for tomorrow’s “1-minute hike” video and summary of the trails.
