Freezing rain advisory issued across Maine

By Dawn Gagnon, BDN Staff

The National Weather Service’s offices in Caribou and Gray have extended a freezing rain advisory through 10 p.m.

Affected areas include Aroostook, Somerset and Piscataquis counties. Accumulations of up to a tenth of an inch of freezing rain and drizzle are expected, especially in the St. John Valley.

Motorists should use caution as roads could become slippery.

Temperatures are expected to rise into the lower to mid-30s by early evening.
