SACO, Maine — Local police are seeking help in searching for a missing teenage girl.

Elaina Dorsey, whose age was not available, was reported missing by Sweetser Children’s Services, according to Saco Deputy Chief Jeffrey Holland.

Holland said the Department of Health and Human Services has custody of Dorsey despite the fact she has been a resident at Sweetser in Saco, Holland said.

Dorsey was reported missing on Oct. 9, Holland said. Investigators had received information she had been staying at the Preble Street Lighthouse youth shelter in Portland, but she is no longer staying at that facility.

Anyone who has seen Dorsey or knows where she may be is advised to call Saco police at 284-4535.
