WISCASSET, Maine — A woman was taken to a Portland hospital Thursday morning after she was struck by a vehicle in Wiscasset, police said.
The 38-year-old victim, whose name was not disclosed, is being treated at Maine Medical Center for possible head and leg injuries, according to Wiscasset Police Chief Troy Cline.
The woman was struck at the intersection of Main and Middle Streets by a flatbed truck driven by Evan Jones, 19, of Nobleboro, Cline said.
The truck is owned by Quick Turn Towing, the police chief said.
No charges have been filed in the incident, which remains under investigation. Wiscasset police and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office are investigating.
